Let Hope Arise: A Fresh Word for 2025

As we step into this new year, I want to share a word I believe is timely and deeply personal for so many of us. Over the past year, many have faced challenges that left their hearts heavy, their faith shaken, and their hope dimmed. Yet, even as we stand on the threshold of a new season, I sense the Lord’s invitation to believe again, to hope again, and to dream again.

This past Sunday morning, the Holy Spirit pressed a passage on my heart from Jeremiah 29:11-13. It’s a familiar scripture, but one that feels freshly alive for this moment:

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart."

This word is like water on dry ground for those who have been in a season of difficulty. Perhaps 2024 was one of the hardest years you’ve faced. Maybe it feels like the ashes of last year are still clinging to you, and stirring faith for this new year seems impossible. But hear this: God has not brought you this far to leave you here. His plans are good, filled with hope, and they are leading you toward a future of promise.

The Lord’s plans are not just abstract ideas—they are personal, intentional, and meant to prosper you. He is a good Father who listens when we pray, responds when we call, and is faithful to fulfill every promise He has made. Some of us need to dust off old dreams we’ve shelved, lift our eyes from the barren ground, and prepare our hearts for the tender shoots of new growth that are going to come this year.

Jeremiah 29:13 says, “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” I believe this is a moment to press in, to lean into the Lord with everything we have, and to trust Him to meet us in our seeking. He is a God who delights in being found by His children.

I believe this year holds the beginnings of a harvest. Even now, the first tender shoots of new life are breaking through. What seemed dead and barren will bloom again. God is still in the business of answering prayers, working miracles, and delivering His people. The blood of Jesus is still powerful to save, heal, deliver, and restore.

So, as we enter 2025, let’s start this year with fresh faith. Let’s take God at His word. Let’s choose to believe again. Hope again. Dream again. Speak these promises over your life and declare them into the atmosphere: I believe God’s plans are to prosper me, not to harm me. His plans are to give me hope and a future.

Friends, there are good days ahead! The Lord is faithful, and He will finish what He started. This year, let’s seek Him with all our hearts, trusting that He will meet us and lead us into the fullness of His promises. Fresh wind is coming. Let’s receive it and step into 2025 with boldness and expectation.
