Billy Humphrey carries a burning passion for revival and preparing a generation for the return of the Lord.
In 2004, after serving 13 years as the youth pastor at Victory Church, Billy—alongside a group of leaders—planted the International House of Prayer Atlanta (IHOP Atlanta) in Lawrenceville, GA. Within two years, the house of prayer launched 24/7 live worship and prayer around the clock.
In 2018, IHOP Atlanta merged with NewBridge Church to form a new spiritual family centered in 24/7 live worship and prayer.
Then in 2021, after three years of operating under both names, IHOP Atlanta and NewBridge Church unified under a single name: GateCity Church.
Today, Billy serves as the director of GateCity Church—a spiritual family of multiple cultures and generations, centered on 24/7 live worship and prayer. GateCity has prayer and mission bases planted in seven nations, focused on bringing the Gospel to the unreached.
Billy is married to his beautiful wife Maribeth and is blessed with four wonderful children. He is the author of The Culture of the Kingdom, Unceasing, and To Know Him.
