I love this little poem, written by a Bound4Life’r inspired by an 18th Century Poet named Arnold.  It captures the heart and resolve of Nehemiah to see the wall built. It’s the heart commitment believers and those in the prayer movement must have as we forge ahead through spiritual battles and challenging trials.

“Who will stand in the face of death with darkness drawing near?

Who will raise a battle cry for all of hell to hear?

Who is standing at the wall to plead before the king?

Who is not afraid to die contending for this thing?

Do you dare to die for one your heart was made to love

And if you lose all that you are Is all that he is enough?

We will stand to plead before the righteous judge of all.

And when He sounds the holy call you’ll find my body near the wall.”

Lord, Lift up a standard for the people…
